Just wanted to give you an update on how I feel the market is going 

 

The Real Estate Market

We had a bit of a roller coaster ride last year. Seemed like the market started off slow, picked up, slowed down and then picked up again. This observation is supported by statistics. I went into October thinking that the market would slow down, when it picked up again and many of my listings sold. Christmas, however, was extremely slow. I think I had one call over 3 weeks.  All this was a prelude to what is happening now... January started with a vengeance. Homes that previously had poor open house attendance did very well last weekend. Buyers are motivated and we are seeing a bit of pent up demand happening. The interest rates are still low and looks like they will stay that way for a while. Sale prices have lowered a bit and then steadied out. Overall I'd say we are experiencing a 'normal, balanced' market.
